In the first part of this quarterly membership meeting, SIG leaders will present news items related to the Technical Editing SIG. Then, the "innovation" discussion begun by this year's Summit keynote speaker, Scott Berkun, continues with the TE SIG program entitled, "Diversity, Inclusion, and Innovation." Dr. Ruby Cain is the presenter of this timely topic.

When: Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm EDT(external link).

How does the growing cultural diversity in the U.S. population affect the way you work? These cultural differences include age, gender, race/ethnicity, differing abilities, social economic status, rural/urban/suburban, veteran, and more. What is the relationship between diversity, inclusion, and innovation?

This presentation will explore these themes and provide strategies for assessing and promoting inclusion and innovation.
