Editing Product Documentation in Wikis: Challenges, Opportunities, and Approaches Fundraising Presentation

Presentation Description

A recording of the meeting (including handouts) will be available for download after this event. Refer to the information in the webinar email for details.
When documentation departments move their content into wikis and open their content development to collaborative approaches, the editor is faced with new challenges: verifying accuracy and scheduling and conducting edits can become problematic. At the same time, the editor's role becomes critical because content might be developed by non-writers. This presentation examines the challenges and new opportunities that editors face when developing documentation in wikis. It also provides recommendations for how editors can minimize the madness and maximize their effectiveness in a collaborative wiki environment.
