If editing a newsletter is stalled on your “to-do” list, take time for this informative presentation by a long-time veteran of the craft. “Editing a Newsletter” will show you, step-by-step, how to edit a newsletter and will convey the benefits of newsletter editing. You’ll learn about article development, newsletter layout, handling graphics, and dealing with authors and readers. Perhaps you’ve never considered what a valuable skill newsletter editing is for your employer, for extending your professional domain, and for helping non-profit organizations. And don’t forget the added bonus that editing a newsletter on a subject you enjoy can be fun!

With more than two decades of technical writing experience, Charles Crawley has worked for software and engineering companies in Wisconsin and Iowa. A member of STC since 1987, Crawley has served as president of two different chapters, a book reviewer for Technical Communication, and a presenter at STC conferences. As a volunteer, he has edited a baseball newsletter since 2003, completing 24 issues since that time. He is duly loyal to the Red Sox and the Cubs, hoping to live long enough to see the Cubbies return to their former glory.
